Privacy Policy

This policy explains how WrenchFit, operated by C&C Digital Ventures LLC (“WrenchFit,” “we,” or “us”), handles information when you use the service.

What we collect

Garage information

You may enter vehicle identifiers (including VIN or serial number), year, make, model, configuration, parts, service history, costs, notes, photos, and receipts. By default, this information is stored in your browser on your device.

Optional account information

If you create an account, we receive your name, email address, authentication status, and a cloud copy of the garage information you choose to synchronize. Authentication is provided by Netlify. We do not receive or store your plain-text password.

Photos used for Scan & Identify

When you choose a photo for scanning, it is sent through our server to Google Cloud Vision for optical character recognition. Google processes the image to return detected text. The scan suggests information for you to confirm; it does not verify identity, originality, or fitment.

Messages and technical information

Our contact form collects your name, email, topic, message, and the page from which you contacted us. Netlify processes and stores form submissions. Our hosting and service providers may also process ordinary request data such as IP address, device/browser details, timestamps, and security logs.

Usage analytics

With your permission, WrenchFit uses Google Analytics to measure page visits and anonymous feature events such as vehicle saves, parts searches, fitment checks, account actions, cloud backups, contact submissions, and outbound seller clicks. We do not send VINs, email addresses, passwords, search text, garage records, notes, or photos to analytics. Advertising storage, Google Signals, and ad personalization are disabled. You can choose “Allow analytics” or “No thanks”; your choice is stored on this device and can be reset by clearing WrenchFit site data.

How we use information

• Provide garage records, backup, search context, recalls, OCR, and support.
• Protect, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
• Respond to questions, feedback, and privacy requests.
• Comply with law and prevent fraud or misuse.

Sharing and third parties

We use service providers including Netlify for hosting, authentication, cloud storage, and forms; Google Cloud Vision for OCR; Google Analytics for consented usage measurement; and vehicle or marketplace services such as NHTSA and eBay where a feature requires them. Seller links take you to third-party websites governed by their own policies. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

eBay Partner Network links

WrenchFit participates in the eBay Partner Network. When affiliate tracking is active, we request an eBay affiliate URL using our campaign identifier. If you deliberately click that clearly labeled link, your browser sends ordinary request information to eBay, and eBay may use its own cookies or similar technology to attribute a qualifying purchase to WrenchFit. WrenchFit may then receive a commission without changing the price charged by eBay or the seller. You can avoid this transfer by not opening the seller link, and you can manage or block third-party cookies through your browser settings. eBay handles information under its own privacy notice.

Retention and your choices

• Device records: remain until you delete them, clear site data, or remove the browser/app.
• Cloud garage copy: remains while your account uses backup, unless you delete the cloud backup or ask us to delete applicable account data.
• Support messages: are kept only as reasonably needed to respond, maintain business records, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

You can export a garage backup, delete individual records, delete the cloud garage copy from Account settings, or contact us to request access, correction, or deletion. We may need to verify your identity.

Security and children

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the service, but no system is completely secure. Keep your account credentials private and maintain an export of important records. WrenchFit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes and contact
